Kuortane
Kuortane [ kuɔrtɑnɛ ] is a rural community in western Finland with 3848 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Kuortane was since the 17th century as the surrounding locations of the centers of Finnish Teerbrennerei; Today, the wood and metal processing industries main employer.
Kuortane is the birthplace of architect Alvar Aalto. In addition Kuortane in Finland is known ( Kuortaneen Urheiluopisto ) for its sports academy.
