Koupéla

Koupéla is a city and a comprehensive department of the same area in Burkina Faso, capital of the province Kouritenga in the region Centre- Est. The population consists mainly in Mossi.

In Koupéla take the national road that connects Ouagadougou with Niger, on the one that leads to Togo.

The city is the seat of the Archdiocese of Koupéla. The local sports club AS Koupéla plays during the 2008 /09 season as a climber in the highest soccer league in the country.
