Koviljkin grad

Koviljkin degree (Cyrillic Ковиљкин град ) was the name of a legendary ancient and medieval city in what is now the center of the circle Loznica, in western Serbia.

Probably the city was built as the Roman Vicus. Today it is occasionally identified with the ancient city Gensis. This settlement was located, according to the Tabula Peutingeriana south of Sirmium on the road towards the Drina River in the northwest of Moesia Superior. However, so far the assumption has also often expressed that Gensis is to be identified with the Serbian place Lešnica.

The ruins of this settlement that have not yet been investigated archaeologically, located near the industrial city of Banja Koviljača. This was first mentioned in 1533 and is therefore not necessarily identical with the ancient predecessor.
