Krafft (crater)

Krafft is an impact crater on the northwestern edge moon front page. It is located north of the crater Cardanus on the western edge of Oceanus Procellarum. Between Krafft and Cardanus runs as the crater chain ( Catena ) designated elongated structure of the Catena Krafft. The crater rim has terraces and is moderately eroded. The interior is down to the side crater Krafft C relatively flat.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 by the German - Russian astronomer Wolfgang Ludwig Krafft.
