Krahn people
The Krahn are an ethnic group in Liberia.
The Krahn are a tribe who lived before the founding of Liberia there. When Liberia was founded in 1847, the Americo - Liberians were living on the coast, while the indigenous tribes ( among them the Krahn ) lived inland.
The Krahn Krahn speak the language.
It is assumed that the Krahn were originally farmers, a few animals stayed. Fishing and Hunting has also been practiced. The Krahn practice a religion, in which objects have souls or spirits ( animism ).
Members of the Krahn tribe formed a rebel group, the Movement for Democracy in Liberia ( MODEL).
