Krakatau Steel

Krakatau Steel is an Indonesian state-owned enterprise in the metallurgical sector. The company was founded in 1970 operates in the city of Cilegon in the kabupaten (administrative district ) of Serang in Banten province in the west of the island of Java in 1977, opened three works for cable, ingots and steel profiles. In 1983, Krakatau Steel also a factory for the production of steel plates and a rolling mill in operation. The Group of companies include a thermal electricity plant, a sewage treatment plant for process water and the sea port of Cigading.
