Krakower See

The Krakow Lake in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern is located in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg. He has located just north of the great lakes of Mecklenburg a north- south extent of about nine kilometers and an average depth of 7.4 meters. The largest east - west extent is three kilometers. The Krakow Lake is divided into lower and upper lake. The landscape around the heavily indented submarine is rather flat. The submarine is part of the nature reserve Krakower Lakelands. On the west bank of the lower lake the eponymous village of Krakow am See. The island-studded southern Upper Lake is part of the Natural Park Nossentin / Schwinzer Heath nature reserve since 1939. He is in a very hilly area.

At the north end of Lake Krakower at Serrahn the scenic gorge cut the fog begins with extensive hiking trails and the water mill of Kuchelmiß.
