Kristian Hellström

Kristian Hellström ( born July 24, 1880 in Stockholm, † June 14, 1946 ) was a Swedish middle and long distance runners.

In 1900 he was national champion in the 500 m and 1500 m, 1901 1500 m and 1902 over 10,000 m. On 15 June 1902 he presented in Oslo with 2:03,2 min on a Swedish record.

At the 1906 Summer Olympics in Athens he won the bronze medal over 1500 meters and was fifth on 800 m. Two years later, he left more than 800 m in the flow at the Olympic Games 1908.

Kristian Hellström was Secretary General of the Organizing Committee of the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm. In the same year he was one of the founding members of the IAAF.
