Krośniewice
Krośniewice [ krɔɕɲɛv itsɛ ʲ ] ( 1943-45 Kroßwitz ) is a city in the powiat Kutnowski in the Łódź Province, Poland. The city is also the seat of the homonymous urban and rural community.

Geography
Krośniewice is 59 km north of Łódź and 15 kilometers west of the county town of Kutno. In the city the Droga Krajowa Cross 1 and the Droga Krajowa 92
History
The first mention of a settlement on the site of the present Krośniewice dates from 1387, in which the city already had a parish church. The exact allocation of the municipal law of the place is not known, but it is assumed that it was before 1442.
1567 a fire destroyed almost the entire city. During the Second Partition of Poland, the place came under Prussian rule. With the formation of the Duchy of Warsaw Krośniewice was part of the same 1807 and 1815 part of Congress Poland. 1870 lost the place to be a town. With the end of World War I, the town was part of Poland again in 1926 and received back his city law.
In an administrative reform in 1975, the city was part of Płock Voivodeship, with a renewed reform they came 1999 Łódź.
