Krummbek Manor

The mansion Krummbek is the central building of the former manor and today's good Krummbek. Krummbek forms since 1974 a district of the office belonging to community Lasbek in Stormarn in Schleswig -Holstein. The manor house is a listed building.

History

Krummbek was a farming village that originally belonged to the monastery Reinfeld and may have been created from this in the Middle Ages. The name is derived from crooked and beke, which means " crooked creek ". 1327 Krummbek was first mentioned. After it was without form, like, the area came as Grange for noble Good Schulenburg. As such, it came with Good Schulenburg in the title of Marshal of France Nicolas Graf von Luckner ( 1722-1794 ). He was beheaded at the age of 72 years during the Reign of Terror in Paris under the guillotine. From his estate Good Schulenburg and the Grange were transferred to his son. 1803 the Grange was separated simultaneously with the Grange Hohenholz by Graf Luckner of Schulenburg and sold as a standalone noble estate Krummbek. First owner was Carl Ludwig Christoph Freiherr von Liliencron (1777-1846), who was married to Countess Juliane von Luckner (1788-1863) and fought in the Napoleonic Wars. The marriage came Rochus of Liliencron. On Krummbek Ludwig von Liliencron experimented with the production of a pure and lasting sugar from the new culture of sugar beet. Under Liliencron the architect Christian Frederik Hansen attributed mansion was built.

Owner of the goods were subsequently Hanseatic merchants, last native of the Hamburg Jauch family Robert Jauch (1856-1909), in 1895 for 430,000 Goldmark sold ( the equivalent of about 4.25 million euros ) the goods to be a citizen of Hamburg and to be able to devote as a private charitable works there. His son, who later became a colonel and Freikorps leader Hans Jauch on the estate grew up. 1909 Hermann acquired lamp, the good, the heirs manage it until today.

When the estate districts in 1928 lost their local political autonomy, Krummbek was annexed the neighboring community Barkhorst. 1885 Krummbek had 67 inhabitants, in 1925 there were 72 inhabitants.
