Krung Thon Bridge

The Krung Thon Bridge ( Thai สะพาน กรุงธน ) is a bridge over the Chao Phraya River. It connects the two districts ( Khet ) Dusit and Bang Phlat, Bangkok, capital of Thailand.

Construction began on 31 October in 1954 and lasted until shortly before the official opening on March 7, 1958.

The construction of the bridge consists of a superstructure made ​​of steel, which extends over six spans on piers Chaophraya. The bridge comprises four lanes and a pedestrian path.

The overall length is 642.7 meters, the longest span is 64 meters with a maximum depth of 7.5 meters.
