Krzysztof Hołowczyc

Krzysztof Wieslaw Hołowczyc ( born June 4, 1962 in Olsztyn, Poland ) is a rally driver and politician.

Hołowczyc won the 1995, 1996 and 1999, the Polish Rally Championship. In 1997 he was European in Subaru Impreza Rally Champion and was the Cyprus Rally win. In 1998 he took part in the World Rally Championship. Since 2005 he takes part in a Nissan Navara in the Dakar and reached in 2009 with a fifth place in the standings his best result.

Krzysztof Hołowczyc is represented since December 2007, as a Member of the Polish Civic Platform in the European Parliament, where it is a member of the Group of the European People's Party.

He sits for more road safety and founded the Foundation " The safe driver ". He was awarded by the European Commission with the " The Excellence in Road Safety ". Polish President awarded him in 2006 for his sporting achievements, the Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland.
