Ksar -el- Kebir (Arabic القصر الكبير, DMG al - Qasr al- Kabīr, Spanish: Alcazarquivir, Portuguese: Alcácer - Quibir ) is a city in the province of Larache in the region Tanger- Tétouan in northern Morocco.

The city is located about halfway between Larache on the Atlantic coast and Ouezzane, on the railway line Rabat- Fez - Tangiers, about 32 km from Larache, about 160 km from Rabat, about 110 km from Tangier, located about 178 km from Ceuta. It lies in the valley of the river Loukkos, 25 meters above sea level, one of the most productive agricultural regions of Morocco, and is surrounded by hills. History
