Kuivaniemi

Kuivaniemi [ kui̯vɑniɛmi ] is a place in the northern Finnish countryside Nordoesterbotten, which was a separate municipality until 2007. She joined in early 2007 with the neighboring municipality of Ii to Ii community together.

Kuivaniemi is located at the mouth of the river Kuivajoki in the Gulf of Bothnia. Built in 1871-1874 church of the village was built according to the plans of the German architect Ernst Bernhard Lohrmann, a pupil Carl Ludwig Engels.
