The Kungej Alatau ( Kyrgyz Кюнгёй - Ала - Тоо, Kazakh Кунгей - Алатау ) is one to 4771 m high mountains in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan in Central Asia.

The mountain, which is part of the Tian Mountains Hans, located in the northeast of Kyrgyzstan on the border with Southeast Kazakhstan. It extends over a length of 280 km. To the north is adjacent to the Kungej Alatau the Transili Alatau in Kazakhstan, in the east it falls to the valley of Scharyns ( a Ili inflow ) from. The valley of the Tschüi Creek Chon Kemin borders the mountain range from the northwest. In the south, the lake spreads out Issyk Kul and bordered to the west of the Kungej Alatau to the Kyrgyz Mountains.

The highest mountain of the Kungej - Alatau is the 4771 m high Tschok valley whose height is also specified with only 4760 m.
