Kürdəmir is a rayon in Azerbaijan. Capital of the district is the city Kürdəmir.
Geography
The rayon has an area of 163,151 km ². The area lies in the plane of Aran, mostly below sea level. The climate is dry.
Population
The rayon had 2009 103.800 inhabitants. These are distributed across the capital and 61 other locations.
Economy
The region is dominated by agriculture. There are mainly cultivated cereals, wine and cotton.
