Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto

Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto ( born July 13, 1976 in Magelang ) is a former Indonesian footballer who last stood at Pro Duta FC under contract. He is the current most-capped player of the Indonesian national football team with 60 games and 33 goals. His nickname kurus is, literally translated slim. So that his slim figure is meant.

Career

Association

Kurniawan is one of the few Indonesian players who have already made it to Europe at a young age. In his last year in his youth, he played for the Italian club Sampdoria Primavera. Later, he played two seasons in the Swiss League for FC Luzern. After his time at FC Lucerne, he was sent back to Indonesia, as the non -EU players limit was exceeded in the Swiss league, he had a lot of injuries and thus an extreme form of loss and allegedly was addicted to drugs and nightlife. He was the first Indonesian player who played in the Intertoto Cup, scoring one goal. Kurniawan also participated in the AFC Champions League and the now-defunct Asian Cup Winner 's Cup.

In the late 90s he was hanging in a drug scandal in it and was thrown out of the national team, but this decision was overturned shortly afterwards. He was already in many other Indonesian teams under contract, such as PSM Makassar, PSPS Pekanbaru, Persebaya Surabaya, Persija Jakarta and also in PSS Sleman.

He twice won the Indonesia Super League, in 2000 and 2004 with PSM Makassar with Persebaya Surabaya. In 2000, he scored 23 goals for PSM Makassar and landed in the scoring charts at No. 2 with a goal less than Bambang Pamungkas. During the 1997/1998 season, he was in between in Leading scorer, but due to the Asian crisis, the season was canceled and therefore no master and no scorer was clear. After the stations Persela Lamongan, PSMS Medan and Tangerang Wolves FC, most recently played for FC Pro Duta.

National

Kurniawan competed in numerous competitions for the national team of Indonesia, including at the Olympics Qualifiers, World Cup qualifications, Southeast Asia Games, the ASEAN Football Championship and the Asian Cup.
