Kurt A. Körber

Kurt Adolf Körber ( born September 7, 1909 in Berlin, † August 10, 1992 in Hamburg) was a noted German founders and entrepreneurs in the field of machine and plant construction. In 1946 he founded the Hauni machine factory in Hamburg -Bergedorf (now Hauni Maschinenbau AG), which is primarily known for the production of machines for the production of filter cigarettes. The company is now part of Körber AG, an internationally active engineering group. Körber is one of the most outstanding personalities in the postwar period in the Federal Republic.

Life

At the age of 15 years tinkered Kurt Körber a transmitter readout scale for radios that simultaneously his first patent application in 1924. From 1928 to 1929 he studied electrical engineering at the Technical Mittweida. In 1935, he joined the "Universal - works JC Müller & Co. " in Dresden. 1940 Kurt A. Körber joined the NSDAP. On June 1, 1956 Körber founded in Hamburg- Bergedorf on the grounds of Hauni the tobacco technical Hamburg. There began 1957 training courses for employees of the tobacco industry in March. A year later, the first engineering students took their studies at the Department of Chemical Engineering / Technology tobacco.
