Kushiro Subprefecture
Kushiro (Japanese钏 路 総 合 振兴 局, Kushiro - sogo - Shinko - kyoku ) is a sub-prefecture of Hokkaido Prefecture. It has an area of 5996.38 km ² and a population of 271 196 (as of July 31, 2004).
History
The interior of the sub-prefecture Kushiro (钏 路 支 庁, Kushiro - shicho ) in November 1897. In August 1922, it was renamed in sub-prefecture Kushiro -no- kuni (钏 路 国 支 庁, Kushiro no kuni shicho ). On 20 October 1948, the district Ashoro was delivered to the sub-prefecture of Tokachi. On April 1, 1957, the Back designation was made in sub-prefecture Kushiro.
In the reorganization of Hokkaidō April 1, 2010 renaming in Kushiro - sogo - Shinko - kyoku was.
