Kvenvik

Kvenvik ( Northern Sami: Covošluovta ) is a small village in the Alta fjord in the municipality Alta in Finnmark county, Norway. Kvenvik is located on the E6, about nine kilometers west of the town of Alta. In Kvenvik 202 people.

For the first time, the village was mentioned in 1567 under the name Kvænangen. 1744 has been described by Major Schnitler, as a village, which was deserted by its inhabitants. Later it moved again to residents in Kvenvik.

The village is situated near the village Kåfjord where the German battleship Tirpitz was during the Second World War.
