Kwak Yoon-gy

Kwak Yoon- gy ( Kor. 곽윤기; born 26 December 1989) is a South Korean Shorttracker.

Kwaks first international appearance was at the Junior World Championship 2005 in Belgrade, where he won a silver and two bronze medals over 1000 meters at once. Then he went into the next season in any major international event at the start and did not return until October 2007, when he was first nominated for the Short Track World Cup of the season 2007/ 08. Again he reached high rankings in the second competition the podium the same in his first race. Since he almost exclusively on the shortest distance, 500 meters, concentrated, in this discipline he achieved the second place in the overall World Cup behind his teammate Sung Si - bak. However, he also managed over 1000 meters the podium when he finished second in Kobe. Overall, he won in a single World Cup, more than 500 meters in Quebec City, he also was used in all Relay World Cup, each of which went to the South Korean team, so here again six World Cup victories came to him.

The short track speed skating World Cup 2008/ 09 Kwak began with another victory, this time over the 1000 meters and a third place over 500 meters again successful. In the short track speed skating World Ranking by the end of November 2008, he is so on the fifth. He studied at Yonsei University.
