Kwame Harris ( born March 15, 1982 in Jamaica ) is a former American professional American football player at the position of the offensive tackles. He played six years in the National Football League ( NFL) for the San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland Raiders.
High School and College
His family moved to the United States when he was three years old. Harris grew up in Newark, Delaware and attended the Newark High School .. He studied at Stanford University, where he played college football for three years for the Stanford Cardinal.
NFL
In 2003 he was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the NFL Draft as the 26th player. He played from 2003 to 2007 when the 49ers and changed for the 2008 season to the Oakland Raiders, where he played only one year.
United Football League
After playing for a team in 2009, he moved in 2010 to the United Football League and played one season for the Florida Tuskers.
Others
After his football career, he outed himself involuntarily in 2013 in a public dispute with his former friend as gay.
