Kwesi Botchwey

Kwesi Botchwey is a leading politician and university teacher of Ghana.

Training

Botchwey graduated from the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra his Bachelor ( LL.B. ) in Law. Later he moved to the Faculty of Law at Yale University in the USA to lay here the Master ( LL.M.) in Law. He doctorate at the University of Michigan.

Politician

Botchwey initially in the military junta under Jerry Rawlings (1981-1992) and later during the presidency of Rawlings (1992-2001) according to the democratization of the country held the post of Minister of Finance in Ghana 1982-1995.

University teacher

After receiving his doctorate Botchwey taught at the University of Zambia, the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania and the University of Ghana.

Botchwey worked at Harvard University and moved to Tufts University, where he holds the chair of Economic Development Professor of Practice in Development Economics later.
