Kysuce

Kysuca ( German Kischütz [ s ], Hungarian Kiszuca ) is the name of a region in northern Slovakia.

It lies between the Orava region in the east, the Czech border in the west and the valley of the river Vah / Waag and also borders Poland. It includes the districts ( okresy ) Čadca and Kysucké Nové Mesto. Due to the remoteness of the area is a rather poor region of Slovakia, a new impetus there is currently through tourism. The special attraction of this region is the untouched nature and numerous opportunities for winter sports for tourism.

The name derives from the river flowing through it Kysuca and the region lies in the official tourism region SEVERNE Považie.
