La bandera argentina

La bandera argentina is a three-minute silent film by Eugene Py from the year 1897. Eugene Py was supported by the German cinematographer Federico Figner during the shooting of this film. The movie has a great historical significance for the Argentine film history. Because of its subject matter ( the flag is the symbol of national unity ), this film regarded as the first of Argentina, but in fact three short films have been with views of Buenos Aires already on 24 November 1896 ( Vistas de Palermo, Avenida de Mayo and Plaza de Mayo ), which are also from Figner.
