La Luz F.C.

The La Luz Fútbol Club, short La Luz, also known as La Luz tacurú Fútbol Club is a football club from Montevideo in Uruguay.

History

The club is located in the Puros montevideanischen Barrio Aires. It was founded on 19 April 1929. The foundation was doing in the pub with a canteen of Faustino Fernández Aires Puros district instead. This was at that time the only one in the district, which had electric light and lay on the street corner Tudurí (now Francisco Goyén ) and propios ( Batlle y Ordóñez today ). 1962, was master of Intermedia and played in 1963 thus first time in the second division of Uruguay. There, the club debuted on June 30, 1963 with a 0-1 home defeat to Mar de Fondo. Because of unpaid debts from the previous season the UP had arranged the demotion for both La Luz and Basáñez by decision of 17 September 2008.

The team of the club playing in the third division in the Segunda División Amateur, which is the successor of the League Liga Metropolitana amateur.
