Bodoc on the borderlands Saga

In interviews Bodoc describes the theme of the borderlands Saga as a belligerent, philosophical, social and economic confrontation between two ideologies: one stands for " diversity, freedom and respect for nature ," the other for " uniformity, slavery and exploitation." Bodoc draws a clear line to JRR Tolkien's fantasy novel The Lord of the Rings. This was "a European epic, euro centric and monarchist ". Tolkien write " from the perspective of the powerful ", Bodoc " from the standpoint of the subjugated ".

Bodoc can be incorporated into their saga also typical of the Latin American literary elements of magical realism. The fantasy appears in her book as something Ubiquitous, with the ratio appears in a softer light. It is not a means to an end, it is what moves in the world of borderlands immanent in everything in this magical world.
