La Tène, Neuchâtel
La Tène is a municipality in the Canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
It was formed on 1 January 2009 from the merger of the two communities Epagnier and Thielle -Wavre. The name of the new community is based on the prehistoric site of La Tène on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel.
Geography
La Tène is located about 6 km east of the city of Neuchâtel on the northeastern shore of Lake Neuchâtel. The eastern boundary of the municipality is the Zihlkanal which drains the Neuchâtel Lake Biel.
