La Treille

La Treille is a district of Marseille, which is located in the 11th arrondissement of Marseille in the Bouches -du -Rhône. He has about 900 inhabitants.

History

The old Provencal village dates back in part to the 17th century. Towards the end of the 19th century the church was built in the center, which is dedicated to St. Dominic. The place was known primarily for the autobiographical writings of Marcel Pagnol, who wrote this in his house La Pascaline. His first films turned Pagnol in La Treille and partly with a population of La Treille. He is buried in the village cemetery.
