Labello

Labello is a lip balm from Beiersdorf AG. The name Labello emerged from the Latin words " labium " ( = lip ) and " bellus " ( = beautiful ) and thus means literally " beautiful lips ". Labello is sold since 1909 under that trademark by Beiersdorf AG, making it the oldest product of the well-known today Beiersdorf brands. Developer of the lip care stick was the then Beiersdorf owner Oscar Troplowitz. Noteworthy was the innovative rotary sleeve case from which the Labello is rotated out for use, which in many lipsticks and other cosmetic products applies to this day. Labello is in many European countries, the market leader in this area.

In other European countries, the USA and Japan, the balm under the brand name Nivea offered.

Criticism

Of addictive substances are not included, but occurs a certain habituation effect one: Some users notice increasingly dry lips that enforce regular use of the product. This is true but for most lip balms and other manufacturers. Critics such as the Öko-Test magazine refer to the drying and possibly harmful effect of mineral oil products included that can occur with frequent use.

Varieties

Labello is available in different variants. You can get the Labello with sun protection factor, this nourishes the lips then not only protects but they also face excessive sunlight. The product is also available with a variety of fruit flavors ( " taste "). The shell (or cap ) of the pin is then the color of each fruit.
