Łabiszewo

Łabiszewo ( German Labüssow, Kashubian Łabùszewò ) is a village in the powiat Słupski ( Stolp ) of the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Geographical location

Łabiszewo located in Pomerania, about 19 kilometers southeast of the city of Slupsk ( Stolp ) and two and a half miles north of the church village Dobieszewo ( United Dübsow ).

History

The manor was formerly Labüssow an old feud of the Puttkamer family, which had later successively obsessed members of the families Zitzewitz and God Mountain. The associated village was applied in the form of a small cul de sac village. After the death of the landowner Franz Döring of God Mountain, who had next to Labüssow still possessed more goods, Labüssow arrived for 5,333 rix-dollars to his two sons Christian Lorenz of God Berg and Martin Heinrich of God Mountain. After the latter had died, was Christian Lorenz of Gottsberg the sole owner. In 1773 Labüssow was sold for 5,300 thalers to Caspar Heinrich from Zitzewitz. Around 1784, there was a Labüssow Vorwerk, seven farmers, on the field mark of the village another Barbican, called Birkhof, with a wooden keeper's house and a total of 14 households. Towards the end of the 18th century and in the 19th century, the mountain God sat back on Labüssow. 1847 Jakob Franz Johann Friedrich von Gottsberg the owner of the manor. , Then his son Otto of God Mountain († 1888). In 1900 the estate of Ulrich Labüssow of God Mountain has been sold. In 1939 the estate was owned by wife of Steegen, born von Zitzewitz.

In 1925 were in Labüssow 73 residential buildings. 1939 were counted 94 households and 397 inhabitants.

Until 1945 the village belonged to the district of Stolp Labüssow in the district of Pomerania Pomerania. The municipal area was 1,322 acres in size. In the district Labüssow there were a total of three Locations:

  • Friedrichsfelde
  • Labüssow
  • Marie Felde

Except for the last 1,050 -acre estate there were 19 farms in Labüssow.

Towards the end of World War II Labüssow was occupied on 8 March 1945 by the Red Army. Later Poles arrived and took over houses and farms of the village. Labüssow was renamed Łabiszewo. The German villagers have been displaced.

The village has about 260 inhabitants.

School

Before 1938, the elementary school of Labüssow was in three stages. In 1932, they teach two teachers in three classes 69 school children. On August 15, 1938 a new two-class school was inaugurated. In the new school building were two apartments, and it belonged to a farm building.

Church

The population in 1945 was mainly Protestant denomination Labüssow present. In 1925, the village had four residents Catholic religion. Labüssow belonged to the parish of Great Dübsow and thus to the church Stolp -Altstadt.
