Laboratoire national de métrologie et d'essais

The Laboratoire national de métrologie et des Essais (National Laboratory of Metrology and attempts ), formerly Laboratoire National d' Essais ( LNE ), is the French equivalent of the German Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt ( PTB). The LNE is a French institution whose task is the measurement and testing of products of all kinds before they receive their certification for marketing. His responsibilities include the coordination of metrology projects in France. The LNE was founded in 1901 and is now a state-owned company, which is run as Établissement public à caractère industriel et commercial ( EPIC) (French status as a public institution with a commercial nature ).

The headquarters are located in Paris's 15th arrondissement.
