Labussee

The Labussee ( slaw labut = swan ) is located in the Mecklenburg Lake 9 km southeast of Mirow and 10 kilometers southwest of Wesenberg in the south of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, near the border with Brandenburg. It lies completely within the municipality Wustrow. He is from west to east about 3 kilometers long and up to 900 meters wide. The lake has four distinct bays, two north and two south.

Inflows, the lake to the west of the Diemitz lock by a channel which flows through the Greater and Lesser Peetschsee, and to the north of the Dollbek from Gobenowsee. A drain is to the southeast across the Canower lock for Canower lake.

The Labussee is part of the 32 -kilometer-long federal waterway Müritz- Havel waterway waterway class I; responsible is the Waterways and Shipping Office Eberswalde.

Much of the shore adjacent to the forest area Canower Heath.
