LaFace Records

LaFace Records is an American record label.

The label is part of the Zomba Music Group which in turn belongs to the major label Sony BMG. It was one of the most successful hip-hop & Contemporary R & B label of the 1990s. These are some artists like TLC, Toni Braxton, Usher, Pink and OutKast here under contract. The most popular current stars are Usher, Pink and Ciara.

LaFace Records was founded in 1989 in Atlanta by Kenneth Edmonds, Antonio Reid and Arista Records. End of the 1990s Edmonds got out at LaFace to devote more attention to his own music. 1999 took over Arista and BMG record label completely. In 2001, Antonio Reid CEO of Arista Records, and brought all the stars of LaFace over here. This LaFace Records disappeared for the next three years into insignificance. Only in 2004, after a reorganization of BMG, the label was reactivated and the Zomba Music Group assumed as the main label in the field of Hip Hop / R & B.
