Lages ( originally Lajes ) ​​is a city in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina. She had about 157,000 inhabitants in 2010.

On November 22, 1776, the town was founded. In 1860 he was awarded the status of a city. 1960, the name of the hitherto Lajes heart of the charming city of Lages has changed.
