Lago del Zött

The Lago del Zött (also Zoet or Zot ) is a reservoir in the north of the canton of Ticino. The reservoir has a total capacity of 1.65 million cubic meters. At full storage, the lake surface is at 1,940 m above sea level. M.. Hydraulically connected to the lake with the Lago di Robiei whose storage destination is on the same level. The dam has a height of 34 m and was built in 1967 by the Maggia power stations AG.

Access

The lake can be reached by the Maggia Valley to the village of Bignasco. From there you drive to San Carlo in Bavonatal. From San Carlo aerial cable car climbs about 900 meters to the reservoir. In the vicinity the lakes Lago dei Cavagnöö and Lago di Robiei lie.
