Lago di Mergozzo

The Mergozzo is a small Alpine rim near the Lago Maggiore in Italy.

The lake measures about 2.6 km from northwest to southeast and about 1 km from southwest to northeast. He is in the area of the nature reserve Fondotoce and is considered one of the cleanest lakes in Europe. In order to protect the high quality of the lake water a ban on motorboats was adopted in 1995. The mountain lake called Monte Orfano ( 794 m).
