The Laguna Beach High School is a public high school in Laguna Beach in the U.S. state of California. The school was founded in 1934 and is currently attended by 1,000 students. The school colors are brown and white and the sports teams are called " Breakers ".

History

The Laguna Beach High School was opened on 11 September 1934, and launched the School with 157 students. The following year, new premises on Park Avenue were purchased, where the school is located to this day. The number of students increased in the following years continuously. In the 1950s and 1960s more additional buildings were added. Between 1993 and 2005, the high school has been renovated several times.

In art and media

Due to the reality series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, the school has gained worldwide recognition. Energy produced by MTV series is about local young people who visit the graduating class at the LBHS. Some of the students like Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti are shown then enters the media to a certain celebrity.
