Laika (Band)
Laika is a Established in 1993, British alternative rock band ( founded by the ex- Moonshake members Margaret Fiedler and John Frenett, and music producer / Toningenieuer Guy Fixsen ). The band was named after the dog Laika, the first living creature that was promoted deliberately by man into orbit around the Earth.
Style
Musically, the band can be described as a mixture of avant-garde electronica and alternative.
Activities outside the band
In 2000, Margaret Fiedler played in PJ Harvey's tour companion. She played guitar, cello and other instruments.
