Lajos Tichy

Lajos Tichy, 1978

Lajos Tichy ( born March 21, 1935 in Budapest, † January 6, 1999 ) was a Hungarian football player and coach. Tichy took with the national team of his native country at the World Championships of 1958, 1962 and 1966 participated. Overall, he played 72 international matches for Hungary, in which he scored 51 goals.

Club career

Lajos Tichy, who was born in Budapest, capital of Hungary, his professional career began at Honvéd Budapest. In 1953 he was included in the squad for the first team. Honvéd at that time was of the best teams in Europe.
