Lake Abijatta

Abijatta ( Amharic አሲያታ ሐይቅ, asiyatta Hayq ) is a lake in Abijatta - Shalla National Park, south of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia.

According to the Statistical Abstract of Ethiopia for 1967/68, the lake is 17 kilometers Abijatta long, 15 kilometers wide and has an area of ​​205 square kilometers. At its deepest point it is 14 meters deep. It is located at 1573 meters above the sea.

There are several hot springs which serve both tourists and locals to relax at the northeast corner of the lake.
