Lake Colac

The Lake Colac is located near the city of Colac in Victoria in Australia. Mid-January 2009 fell after a prolonged drought of the 1820 -acre lake for the first time since 173 years dry, but was filled by the rains again in 2010.

Tourism

In 1870 drove the first pleasure boat on the lake and in 1879 the first regatta was carried out, this was however present in the dry years. At the lake there is a yacht and rowing club, boat ramp, barbecue pits, picnic tables, public toilets and the Colac Botanical Garden.

The Lake Colac is a bird sanctuary for 20 species of waterfowl and migratory birds.
