Lake Gunn

Lake Gunn is a lake in the Southland region of the South Island of New Zealand in Fiordland National Park.

The small lake is located directly on from Te Anau to Milford Sound leading State Highway 94 The Lake Gunn campsite of the DOC is located near the south end of the lake. The lake is drained by the West Branch of the Eglinton River and is surrounded by native vegetation. Nearby are the smaller lakes Lake Fergus and Lake McKellar. The watershed between the Eglinton River and Hollyford River is located 4 km north of the lake.

The lake was named after George Gunn, a farmer who discovered the lake in 1861.
