Lake Inawashiro

Inawashiro Lake (Japanese猪苗 代 湖, Inawashiro- ko) is the fourth largest lake in Japan.

Geography

The lake is situated at an altitude of 514 m above sea level, south of the volcano on the island of Honshu Bandai group and in Fukushima Prefecture. It is approximately 103.3 km ², its average depth is 51.5 m.

On the shores of the lake are the towns of Aizu Wakamatsu -, Kōriyama and Inawashiro.
