Lake Kawaguchi

The Lake Kawaguchi ( Kawaguchi -ko jap河口湖) is one of the Fuji Five Lakes in the vicinity of Mount Fuji in Japan.

He is Fujikawaguchiko in Yamanashi prefecture and is - in terms of number of tourists - the most famous of the Fuji Five Lakes. He is part of the Fuji -Hakone -Izu National Park. Since 22 June 2013, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site of Mount Fuji.

Kawaguchiko is used during the climbing season ( July and August) as an important stopover for the ascent of Mount Fuji. It lies at an altitude of 831 m, resulting in relatively cool summers and freezing winters often.

Kawaguchiko has the nearby Lake Yamanaka the rank of the most popular region in the area expired in recent years.
