Lake Niegocin

The Niegocin ( [n ʲ ɛgɔʨin ] German Löwentinsee or Lötzener lake ) is a lake in the Masurian Lake District between its largest lakes, Mamry ( Mauersee ) and Śniardwy ( Spirdingsee ) with which he on the Talter waters ( Tałty ) and Jezioro Mikołajskie is connected. The lake has an area of ​​2,604 hectares and a maximum depth of about 40 meters. This lowest point is located at the north end, near the town Giżycko ( Lötzen ). At its longest point, it has an area of ​​10.8 km and at the widest part of 4.8 kilometers.

There are plans, a new channel to Spirdingsee over the Türkle Lake to join the Martin Hagen lake and the lake with the Hesse - Löwentinsee.
