Dam

The " Garrison Dam " at Riverdale and Pick City is the second and largest of the six dams on the Missouri. The Erdschüttdamm was built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and operated by him. In June 1953, he was inaugurated by President Dwight D. Eisenhower; the earthworks were completed in 1954 and the remaining construction work lasted until 1956. The construction of the dam has cost 300 million dollars. To aufzuschütten him nine million truckloads of earth were brought or transported daily 60,000 m³. The other five dams on the Missouri Fort Peck, Oahe, Big Bend Dam, Fort Randall and Gavins Point.
