Lake Temagami

The Lake Temagami is a lake in Nipissing District in northeastern Ontario, Canada.

It is located about 80 km north of the city of North Bay. The name of the lake comes from the language of the Ojibwa word meaning " deep water next to the shore ." The lake has a total area of ​​209.71 km ². The maximum depth is 109 m. The outflow of the lake is the Temagami River. The following fish species are caught in the lake: Walleye, Canadian walleye, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, pike, American perch, sunfish and Heringsmaräne. The catch of lake sturgeon is prohibited all year round.
