Tikschosero (Russian Тикшозеро, Тикшеозеро Tikscheosero, karel. Tiikšenjärvi, Finnish Tiiksjärvi ) is a lake in the Republic of Karelia in northwest Russia.

Since 1953, the outflow of the lake is regulated seasonally. The water area of ​​208.8 km ² Tikschosero is. The total area of the lake including the islands is 232 km ². The shoreline of the Tikschosero is heavily cut. The lake lies at an altitude of 111.2 m. Its average depth is 8 m, the maximum depth of 40 m. The Tikschosero has a length of 26.7 km and is up to 16 km wide.

There are 342 islands with a total area of 23.6 km ². The largest islands are Kaigas ( 11.8 km ²) and Kangassari (2.38 km ²).

From early November until the second half of May into the lake of a layer of ice is covered.

The Tikschosero has a catchment area of 1080 km ². It is drained by the river Lopskaja and dewatered to Kowdosero to the north. Here, the Lopskaja splits immediately after leaving the Tikschosero in two arms, Wintscha and PUDOs, on which flow away in the northern Notosero.

In Tikschosero following types of fish: trout, whitefish, Coregonus, smelt, pike, Rutilus, ide, burbot, nine-spined stickleback, perch and bullhead.
