Lake Waswanipi

Lac Waswanipi is a lake in the regional county municipality Jamesie (administrative region of Nord- du- Québec) of the Canadian province of Quebec.

The lake is located about 80 km southeast of Lac Matagami and 20 km southeast of Lac au Goéland. All three lakes are located on river reaches of the river Rivière Waswanipi and belong to the basin of the Rivière Nottaway. The Rivière Waswanipi has its inflow and outflow at the northern end of the lake. The 13-km south to Lac Pusticamica is drained by the Rivière O'Sullivan to Lac Waswanipi out.

The lake has roughly the shape of the letter J. The Lac Waswanipi is 35 km long and up to 11 km wide. The water area is 205 km ².
